• New space reinforces Kaspien tenent of “work hard, have fun and enjoy life”
  • Transforms empty warehouse into vibrant home for rapidly growing company

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.—Aug. 8, 2018—Kaspien, Inc.(formerly etailz, Inc.) recently relocated to its new home on Sullivan street in The Park: Spokane’s Business & Industrial Park to support its rapid growth, christening their new home, “Sullivan Valley.”

Kaspien Co-founder and CEO, Josh Neblett commended the design for capturing the Kaspien spirit, “It’s bold and creative. There’s ample room for growth with amenities that our employees have become accustomed to, such as the gym, volleyball/basketball court, BBQ’s, scooters, etc. Since opening our doors in 2008, we’ve always tried to make Kaspien a place where people want to work, with a passionate and empowering culture central to our identity. Sullivan Valley reinforces that.”

“Sullivan Valley captures Kaspien’s innovative, honest, and passionate culture that established the company as a leader in online marketplace retail. My goal was to create a fun and comfortable atmosphere that inspired creativity. I don’t care what your role is – every job has the opportunity for creative solutions,” said Kaspien, Inc. Creative Director Amy Jahn. “I’ve worked a few places that frankly killed my inspiration because of bad lighting, sterile cubicles, or a layout that did not facilitate collaboration. I wanted this space to feel laid back and innovative, open but able to accommodate focus — to be modern and natural and fun, while supporting collaboration and the ability to be serious when needed.”

This new location quadruples the square footage of Kaspien’s former location, providing the growing company with much-needed space. The company employs more than 250 people.

Kaspien was given full creative control of the new space’s design. Jahn led the design, transforming a barren warehouse into a vibrant, invigorating, and bold space and employees have praised the hip, rustic-modern style and the open layout that promotes communication.

While the interior provides more conference rooms and a larger kitchen, photo studio, and office space, the exterior is no slouch either. Outside, Sullivan Valley features a sand court for volleyball, built-in gas barbecues, and a furnished patio, encouraging employees to live out Kaspien’s tenet: “work hard, have fun, and enjoy life.”
