The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues with a broadcast of an
audio concert starring American trio Shivaree and Australian
singer/songwriter Ben Lee. The concert with these two gifted
performers airs at the following times: Monday 5/15 at 4:00 PM EDT,
Wednesday 5/17 at 11:00 AM EDT, Saturday 5/20 at 3:00 AM EDT and Sunday
5/21 at 7:00 PM EDT.
Log on to TWEC.COM at 8:00 PM EDT on Monday and chat live with BBMak.
Far from your typical boy band, these three talented young men met
while playing with other bands on England’s music circuit. Eventually
they started jamming together and realizing that they had stumbled upon
something special so they decided to form their own band. BBMak’s
debut album, Sooner or Later, hits stores on Tuesday 5/16.
At 6:00 PM EDT, join us as TWEC.COM chats with skypark. In the five
years that they have been together, skypark has developed a large
regional following on their homebase of Orange County, CA as well as
the rest of the country through their great live shows. They released
their major label debut in 1998.
Tuesday’s events continue at 7:00 PM EDT when TWEC.COM hosts a live
chat with rock band Vagabond Lovers. Originally formed in 1990 and
called the Naked Barbies, frontwoman Patty Spiglanin started the band
with no thought of fame, fortune and overall success. However, due to
their amazing Bay Area following and the phenomenal reviews that the
band has received from critics everywhere, it seems that fame, fortune
and overall success will soon be a given. In 1998, the Vagabond Lovers
were finalists in the Levi’s/Lilith Fair Emerging Talent Concert.
Their major label debut, When I Was You, hits sites and stores the day
of the chat.
The evening concludes at 9:00 PM EDT as TWEC.COM chats live with Veruca
Salt. Veruca Salt transformed the punk-pop sound of the Pixies and
Breeders by adding harder, guitar riff-driven rock in the style of
Cheap Trick. The band’s latest album, Resolver, hits sites and stores
At 6:00 PM EDT, chat live with popular punk-rock band Blink 182. Blink
182 is currently climbing the charts with its latest release, Enema of
the State. Featuring such hit songs as “What’s My Age Again?” and “All
the Small Things,” Rolling Stone said the album was ” … gnarly enough
to forment the kind of anti-everything rebellion that spawned rock &
roll back in the day.”
At 7:00 PM EDT, join TWEC.COM for a live chat with Vertical Horizon.
Vertical Horizon formed as an acoustic jam band in 1991. After
relocating to Boston, the members of the band found themselves touring
non-stop and eventually opening for bands like the Allman Brothers,
Better Than Ezra and the Samples. The band’s sound has been described
as a blend of Jars of Clay and Live. Their latest album, Everything You
Want, was released in June 1999.
Following the chat with Vertical Horizon, stick around for a live chat
with Angry Salad at 8:00 PM EDT. The band formed while its members
were students at Brown University in 1993 when they entered the WBRU
Rock Hunt in Providence, RI. After winning the contest, the band set
aside their studies and decided to pursue music full-time. Through
non-stop touring, Angry Salad has developed a strong following around
the country. Angry Salad’s eponymous debut “features crowd-pleasing,
literate alternative rock.”
Concluding the evening’s events is our live chat with guitar legend
Peter Frampton, beginning at 9:00 PM EDT. Frampton’s 1976 album,
Frampton Comes Alive, remains the #1 selling live album of all time.
His latest album, Live in Detroit, hits stores on Tuesday 5/16. The
album was recorded in August 1999 at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in
