ALBANY, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 26, 2000–TWEC.COM, the e-commerce web site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq National Market: TWMC), announced today that it has signed an agreement with the iCON Broadcasting Network (www.iCONwebcast.com), to air a series of live webcasts from Electric Factory Concerts (www.electricfactory.com).
The concerts, co-produced by iCON Broadcasting Network and Electric Factory Concerts, will take place in the Electric Factory and the Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA. The webcasts will appear in a special Concert and On Demand area on TWEC.COM customized to the artist(s) performing. The agreement covers all Electric Factory webcast productions through September 1, 2000.
Artists who have participated in webcasts via the iCON Broadcasting Network and Electric Factory Concerts include moe, Luscious Jackson, Agents of Good Roots, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Supertones, Public Enemy, G-Love and Special Sauce and The Princes of Babylon. Artists who are scheduled to participate in upcoming webcasts include the Bacon Brothers, Fish, Audio Adrenaline, Raze, Powerman 5000, Cowboy Junkies and Jennifer Knapp.
