ALBANY, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 21, 2000–TWEC.COM (www.twec.com), the e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq National Market: TWMC), today announced an exclusive marketing agreement with legendary New York alternative music weekly newspaper, The Village Voice (www.villagevoice.com).
TWEC.COM will be the only major record/electronic retail sponsor of the online music section of villagevoice.com, and the company’s logo will appear each time a Village Voice reader clicks through to the music section of the web site. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will have an integrated “click-to-buy” feature linking all Village Voice music reviews with specific artist merchandise on the TWEC.COM e-commerce site. The agreement also includes TWEC.COM banner advertisements on the villagevoice.com homepage, as well as seasonal print advertisements in the newspaper.
