Hi Tek and Talib Kweli. In addition, The Web’s Entertainment Center will host
live chats with former Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, Iron Maiden, Doro
Pesch, Eric Heatherly and Jo Dee Messina. Also, the RadioWoodstock On Stage
series continues when TWEC.COM broadcasts a taped audio concert starring Del
Amitri. Details for each event are as follows:
MONDAY 8/7
-
The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with a broadcast
of an audio concert starring Del Amitri. The band from Glasgow has
gained a strong cult following for their rock and roll style with
tastes of country and folk. The concert with Del Amitri airs at the
following times: Monday 8/7 at 4:00 PM EDT, Wednesday 8/9 at
11:00 AM EDT, Saturday 8/12 at 3:00 AM EDT and Sunday 8/13 at
7:00 PM EDT. -
At 9:00 PM EDT, join TWEC.COM, in conjunction with SOHH.com, for the
continuation of the 2000 Sizzlin’ Summer live chat series. The series
will continue on Monday with two live events, starting with a live chat
with rappers Hi Tek and Talib Kweli. As an added bonus, the chat with
these talented rappers will be broadcast in Real Audio.
TUESDAY 8/8
-
At 5:30 PM EDT, TWEC.COM will host a live chat with music legends Iron
Maiden. Iron Maiden has long been considered one of the most
influential heavy metal bands of all time. They’ve been imitated, but
never duplicated, for over 20 years. Hear Iron Maiden in their own
voices when you tune into the live Real Audio broadcast. -
At 9:00 PM EDT, join TWEC.COM for a live chat with Doro Pesch. Often
called the “first lady of metal rock,” Pesch is a German heavy metal
rocker who served as the frontwoman for such bands as Snakebite and
Warlock. Warlock opened for Megadeth on their successful 1988 American
tour. Doro Pesch’s latest solo album, “Calling the Wild,” is scheduled
to hit stores on 11/9. -
At 10:30 PM EDT, log on to TWEC.COM for a live chat with Rob Halford.
The former Judas Priest frontman has a new band, simply called Halford,
and a new album set for release on 8/7 entitled “Resurrection.” Ask
Rob all about his new band, their new album and more when you join us
at 10:30 PM EDT on Tuesday 8/8. As an added bonus, the chat will be
broadcast live in Real Audio.
WEDNESDAY 8/9
-
At 8:00 PM EDT, join TWEC.COM for a live chat with up-and-coming
country crooner Eric Heatherly. Heatherly’s debut album, “Swimming in
Champagne,” was released in April 2000. The album is a perfect
cross-section of the music that this talented young performer creates,
combining his twangs and honky-tonks with a tough but tender voice. -
At 9:00 PM EDT, stick around for a live chat with Jo Dee Messina. With
her 1996 self-titled debut, Joe Dee established herself as one of the
most talented new country singers in the music business. Messina’s
latest album, “Burn,” hit stores on 8/1.
