The Web’s Entertainment Center Will Host Live Chats With Metallica, Kittie and Leslie West!
ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ — TWEC.COM (http://www.twec.com), the e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: TWMC), announced today its events for the week of January 9. The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with a broadcast of a taped concert starring the Lemonheads. Musicians who are scheduled to chat with The Web’s Entertainment Center this week include legendary rock band Metallica, up-and-coming band Kittie and classic guitarist Leslie West. Details for each event are as follows:
On Sunday at 7:00 PM EST, TWEC.COM will host a live chat with heavy metal rockers Metallica. Widely regarded as one of the best and most
influential heavy metal bands of the 1980s, Metallica helped to bring
heavy metal music to the masses. Metallica’s most recent release, S&M,
is a two-disc collection of songs from two concerts that the band
performed in April 1999 with the San Francisco Symphony. In conjunction
with RadioWoodstock, TWEC.COM will air a special audio broadcast during
the chat consisting entirely of Metallica music.
The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with an audio
broadcast starring the Lemonheads. The band’s signature blend of pop,
punk and country-rock and their talent for producing offbeat covers
appealed to audiences in the United States and Britain. The concert
airs at the following times: Monday 1/10 at 4:00 PM EST, Wednesday 1/12
at 11:00 AM EST, Saturday 1/15 at 3:00 AM EST and Sunday 1/16 at 7:00 PM
At 8:00 PM EST on Monday, The Web’s Entertainment Center will host a
live chat with Canadian goth metal quartet Kittie. With a passion that
combines straightforward lyrics and delivery with an insight that is
well beyond their teenage years, the members of Kittie examine the
extent of bliss and chaos through the eyes of today’s youth. Kittie’s
debut album, Spit, hits stores on January 11, 2000. The album was given
4 out of 5 by Alternative Press Magazine (1/00, p.91).
At 8:00 PM EST on Thursday, join The Web’s Entertainment Center for a
live chat with guitarist Leslie West. Beginning his rock ‘n roll career
in the mid-60s with The Vagrants, West is perhaps best known for his
role in Mountain, who created and released some of the best blues music
of the 1970s, not the least of which was the hit single “Mississippi
Queen.” The Web’s Entertainment Center will give away an autographed
guitar during the chat to a lucky registered chatter. Following the
chat, TWEC.COM will air a special concert broadcast starring West. The
broadcast begins at 9:00 PM EST.
