TWEC.COM Announces Exciting Events Lineup for the Week of 6/5 – 6/11! Events at The Web's Entertainment Center include live chats with Gene Dunlap and Brian McKnight

ALBANY, N.Y., June 1 /PRNewswire/ — TWEC.COM (http://www.twec.com), the
e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World
Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: TWMC), announced today its exciting lineup
of events for the week of 6/5. The Web’s Entertainment Center will hold live
online chats with Gene Dunlap and Brian McKnight. In addition, the
RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues when TWEC.COM broadcasts a taped
audio concert starring Dar Williams. Details for each event are as follows:

MONDAY 6/5

  • The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with a broadcast
of an audio concert starring Dar Williams, a singer/songwriter whose unique
and insightful songs have made her a major force on the folk music scene in
New England. The concert with this singer/songwriter airs at the following
times: Monday 6/5 at 4:00 PM EDT, Wednesday 6/7 at 11:00 AM EDT, Saturday 6/10
at 3:00 AM EDT and Sunday 6/11 at 7:00 PM EDT.

TUESDAY 6/6

  • At 9:00 PM EDT, join us as TWEC.COM chats with drummer Gene Dunlap.
Dunlap has played with such reputable artists as Earl Klugh, Grant Green and
Roy Ayers. After 20 years in the music business, Dunlap left to teach inner
city youth in Detroit, but returned to music in April 2000 with his latest
album with the Gene Dunlap Band, Tales of the Phatman.

  • Following the chat with Gene Dunlap, join TWEC.COM for a live chat with
heavy metal monster Zakk Wylde. Formerly the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne,
Wylde now plays bass, a snarling mean guitar and sings for the classic metal
band Black Label Society, who recently released their second album, Stronger
    Than Death.

WEDNESDAY 6/7

  • At 9:00 PM EDT, chat live with soulful R&B crooner, Brian McKnight.
McKnight released several singles before reaching a mainstream audience with
“Love Is,” his moving duet with Vanessa Williams. His fifth album, Back At
One, was released last fall, and the gospel-tinged contemporary soul music
that is on the album has received praise from critics everywhere.

  • Following the chat with Brian McKnight, TWEC.COM is hosting a live chat
with rappers the Dilated Peoples, beginning at 10:00 PM EDT. The Dilated
Peoples have only released a few albums, but have revitalized the underground
rap scene. Their most recent album, and first major label release, The
Platform, hit sites and stores at the end of May.
