Alliance To Include Launch Of “ShopOnLineHipHop(TM)” Boutique Store

ALBANY, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov. 2, 1999–
TWEC.COM (www.twec.com), the e-commerce site of leading
entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation
(Nasdaq National Market: TWMC), today announced its alliance with
SOHH.com (Support Online Hip-Hop) to co-produce and co-market hip-hop
related content. The agreement includes the launch of hip-hop boutique
store, ”ShopOnlineHipHop(TM),” which will be accessible from the
TWEC.COM web site.

Under the terms of the agreement, TWEC.COM will incorporate
SOHH.com branded news, product selections and other content into its
site in exchange for exclusive music, game and video retail
positioning on the SOHH site. The parties will also co-produce and
co-promote hip-hop related content including live artist chats,
streaming audio and video concerts and other hip-hop events such as
the SOHH.com Sizzlin’ Summer and SOHH.com Back to the Future chat
series already featured on TWEC.COM.

The co-branded store will offer hip-hop and rap music fans an
interactive experience, providing daily industry news, new music,
video and game releases, as well as an extensive hip-hop library.

will take place on December 2, and the chat will take place on
