The Web's Entertainment Center Announces Exciting Lineup of Events for the Week of 2/14 – 2/20

TWEC.COM to Air Webcasts with Fish and Powerman 5000!

ALBANY, N.Y., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ — TWEC.COM (, the e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: TWMC), announced today its events for the week of February 14. The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with an audio broadcast of a concert starring Smash Mouth. The Web’s Entertainment Center will be hosting a live chat with up-and-coming hip-hop artists Shalom, as the chat series featuring artists from Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Records continues. In addition, TWEC.COM will air webcasts starring Fish and Powerman 5000, in conjunction with iCON Broadcasting and Electric Factory Artists. Details for each event are as follows:

The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week as TWEC.COM broadcasts a taped audio concert starring Smash Mouth. Formed in 1994 in San Jose, California, the members of Smash Mouth found themselves at the top of the charts after the release of 1997’s “Walkin’ on the Sun,” off of the band’s debut album, Fush Yu Mang. The 1999 follow up, Astro Lounge, has proven to be equally as popular and has garnered such hit songs as “All Star” and “Then the Morning Comes.” The concert with Smash Mouth airs at the following times: Monday 2/14 at 4:00 PM EST, Wednesday 2/16 at 11:00 AM EST, Saturday 2/19 at 3:00 AM EST and Sunday 2/20 at 7:00 PM EST.

At 8:00 PM EST, The Real Deal Records Chat Series continues as TWEC.COM hosts a live chat with Shalom. The four talented young men released their debut album, Levels of Life, in the fall of 1999. The album combines Shalom’s edgy grooves, heartfelt ballads and classic R&B smoothness with their desire to provide the music arena with thoughtful social commentary. The members of Shalom hope that their debut album serves as a positive influence on its listeners, showing that positive and uplifting lyrics are entertaining and appealing.

At 9:00 PM EST, The Web’s Entertainment Center will air a live webcast starring Fish. Born in Scotland, Fish was the stirring lead singer for progressive rock band Marillion until he departed the band in 1988 to pursue a solo career. His debut solo album, Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors, was issued in 1990 and was full of the theatrical flair that Fish had been known for during his years with Marillion. The concert starring this talented vocalist takes place on Wednesday at 9:00 PM EST.

TWEC.COM will air a live webcast starring alternative sensations Powerman 5000. The underground alternative-metal band from Boston found themselves with a cult following along the East Coast after the release of their 1995 debut album, The Blood Splat Rating System. Their latest album, Tonight the Stars Revolt!, has gone platinum, and is full of the heavy metal mixed with electronics and sound effects that Powerman 5000 is notorious for.
