ALBANY, N.Y., June 15 /PRNewswire/ — TWEC.COM (http://www.twec.com), the
e-commerce site of leading entertainment products retailer Trans World
Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: TWMC), announced today that it will host a
live chat with rock legend Styx as part of its exciting lineup of events
during the week of 6/19. The Web’s Entertainment Center will also hold live
online chats with BB Jay, Slum Village and Selah. TWEC.COM will also air a
live webcast starring David Gray in conjunction with the Electric Factory and
iCON Broadcasting. In addition, the RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues
when TWEC.COM broadcasts a taped audio concert starring Rustic Overtones.
Details for each event are as follows:

MONDAY 6/19

  • The RadioWoodstock On Stage series continues this week with a broadcast
of an audio concert starring rock/funk/ska band Rustic Overtones. By
combining their slinky grooves and intelligent lyrics with strong
guitars and powerful horns, Rustic Overtones has developed a large and
devoted fan base. The concert with this quirky quartet airs at the
following times: Monday 6/19 at 4:00 PM EDT, Wednesday 6/21 at
11:00 AM EDT, Saturday 6/24 at 3:00 AM EDT and Sunday 6/25 at 7:00 PM
    EDT.

  • At 7:00 PM EDT, join TWEC.COM for a live chat with up-and-coming rapper
BB Jay! BB Jay is already set apart from other current rappers because
of his surprising blend of urban flavor and enlightening lyrics as he
takes his music to a new level of consciousness. Though his debut
album, “Universal Consciousness,” is set for release in September, BB
Jay has already amassed a devoted following as a result of his 1998
    independent debut single, “Pentecostal Poppa.”

  • At 9:00 PM EDT, tune in for a live audio chat with Slum Village.
“Vol.2 – Fantastic Voyage,” the debut album from these three talented
young rappers was given 3.5 mics out of 5 by The Source (5/99) and
5 stars out of 5 by Muzik (9/99), who described the album as having
“something for everybody … juicy block party funk … superior skits
    … and a stellar line-up of guests.”

TUESDAY 6/20

  • At 7:00 PM EDT, tune in to TWEC.COM for a live chat with gospel vocal
trio Selah. Two of the band’s members were raised in Africa, and that
African influence is very prevalent on the band’s 1999 debut album, “Be
    Still My Soul.”

WEDNESDAY 6/21

  • At 9:00 PM EDT, join The Web’s Entertainment Center for a live chat
with legendary rock band Styx. Styx was one of the biggest album-rock
bands of the late ’70s. With such monster hits as “Babe,” “Lady” and
“Come Sail Away,” Styx filled stadiums across the country. Styx’s
latest album, “Brave New World,” was released in the summer of 1999.

THURSDAY 6/22

  • At 10:00 PM EDT, tune in to TWEC.COM for a live webcast starring
singer/songwriter David Gray, in conjunction with Electric Factory and
iCON Broadcasting. His self-titled debut album was released in 1993 to
stellar reviews, and he soon found himself with a devoted cult
following. His 1994 follow-up, “Flesh,” earned equally positive
reviews and further expanded his audience. His most recent album,
“White Ladder,” was released in March 2000.
